Feast of the Holy Espousals

On January 23, 2008, feast of the Holy Espousals of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph, patrons of the Stigmatine Congregation, about 40 young confreres gave a step ahead on the path of their choice of Stigmatine life: 7 of them were admitted into the Postulancy, 7 into the Novitiate, 5 professed the perpetual vows, and the rest of them renewed their temporary vows. This is with great joy that our Province of the Holy Cross welcomes these young confreres who so generously responded to God's call to be apostles of the Gospel.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided by the Superior General, Fr. Andrea Meschi, and took place at Santana Farm, the Brazilian Retreat House and Conference Center, in Corumbataí, state of São Paulo. After the religious ceremony, there was offered a delicious lunch by the local Stigmatine community. There attend the event, in the total, about 200 people.
