Year of 2011 - from January 23rd to June 8th

Pe. Carlos Alberto Brandao Ferreira, CSS

There passed away on June 1st, 2011, in Goiânia, GO, our confrere Father Carlos Alberto Brandão Ferreira, known as Father Teto.

He was born  in Barretos, SP, on July 1st, 1944, and ordained a Stigmatine Priest on January 25th, 1980.

Fr. Teto started his priestly ministry in the Province of the Holy Cross, and from 1995 started serving in the Stigmatine Parish in Luziânia, GO, in the Province of St. Joseph.

A few months before his death, he started suffering for breathing problems, what caused him to be taken to a local hospital, and later on to the ICU in a hospital in Goiânia. After his recovery, he was living in the Seminary in Goiânia, making his therapy at home. However, on May 25, 2011, his health situation worsened and he was taken back to the hospital in Goiânia, where he passed away on June 1st, 2011.

We pray to the Lord grant him the eternal repouse, and the just reward for his dedication  to serve the flock of God.
